Montgomery, known locally as "the River Region," is ideally located. In addition to our three rivers (one with whitewater kayaking), the area has two large recreational lakes offering abundant boating and fishing options. The largest, Lake Martin, has a coastline of over 700 miles. The white sand beaches of Alabama and the Florida panhandle are just a short drive. We're close enough for a day trip but far enough from the hurricane zone for comfort. Additionally, the largest airport in the world (Atlanta) is less than a two-hour drive.
