Mechanic for Heavy Duty Diesel ShopDiesel Maintenance Services Johnston, Rhode Island We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, demonstrating mechanical knowledge and expertise in various systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our customers' fleets, as well as maintaining safety standards across all operations. Duties • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including inspections and diagnostics. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to diagnostics, hydraulics, transmissions, air brake systems, HVAC, electrical components, and other mechanical systems. • Conduct repairs on heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications. • Execute heavy lifting tasks as required during repairs and maintenance procedures. • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Experience • Proven experience in diesel repair. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various systems including air brakes, diagnostics, injectors, HVAC, clutches, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical components. • Familiarity with OEM standards and practices is highly desirable. • Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate machinery safely. • Experience working with cranes and forklifts Join us in delivering exceptional service through your expertise as a Diesel Mechanic!
